Notre-Dame Basilica

Upon exiting back into the fresh air and kingdom of sparkling glass skyscrapers I passed by the Notre-Dame Basilica, the setting of Celine Dion's 1994 marriage to René Angélil. The building was constructed around 1829, according to the plans of James O'Donnell, who is now buried in the crypt. Being an active house of worship I was unable to enter, however I admired the building's 69 metre high twin towers, christened "Temperance" and "Perseverance", from the intricately detailed exterior.
